Our way of sign production is at the core of what we’re about: a design-based approach that is focused on quality. Our team is comprised of artists who love this stuff, and it’s with this appreciation for the work itself that we are inspired to produce great looking and consistent results.
Our collective experience in digital/print design and sign production gives us a strong foundation that supports smart decisions, elevated and accurate use of a client’s brand, and a fluent understanding of proper materials and methods. We thrive on producing great work.
Aside from our focus on design and production, Invoke Design aims to be a good friend to the community. Even though it’s an unpopular sentiment in some circles, especially in regards to business, the final element of our core values is: Kindness. We think it goes a long way.

As founder in 2014, Matt has forged Invoke Design into a special blend of design studio and sign shop. With a history of 25 years in digital arts, sign production, studio management, and agency work, he is a versatile artist and strong team leader. A triple-threat in the industry, with fluent expertise in design, production, and installation.
Widely-travelled, but calling Roanoke home since the early 90s, Matt is well connected locally through friends, family, and peers. When not working (which is like, never) you’ll find him with his kids - probably gaming.

Making signs since arcades had Street Fighter II Turbo, Bob is a another one-man-shop with an expert level skillset in nearly all facets of the industry. His understanding of wide-format and flatbed technologies, as well as production and installation management, make him an unstoppable force of over 30 years experience.
Bob also moved to Roanoke in the 90s, and is known amongst the local sign industry. When not at work, you’ll find him with his wife, his doggies, or at church. Or, if there’s any time left in the day - probably gaming.

Reaching outside of our internal team, we are also proud to have other industry veterans at our side for contracting and advisory. These friends include the true artists at Page Turner Studios and Art Form Signs, weekend warrior “One Shot Sean”, as well as the smart people at 5Points Creative, AccessU, and Jones Street Creative.
